James H. Moyer

James H. Moyer, 97, of Reading, died February 9, 2007 in Manorcare, Pottstown where he had been a resident since October 16th.

He was the husband of Miriam M. (Porter) Moyer, a resident of Berks Heim.

Born in Marion Township, he was the son of the late Paul and Ida Mae (Stohler) Moyer.

He was a supervisor at Maier's Bakery where he worked for 31 years retiring in 1971.

Survivors include a son James T., Reading, and a daughter, Susan J. (Moyer) Scott, Gilbertsville.

Other survivors include four grandchildren, Stacie Eisenhofer, Tyler Moyer, Bradley Schlegel and Jason Schlegel and there are also five great grandchildren.

Mr. Moyer was predeceased by a brother Paul F., Jr. and a sister, Kathryn (Moyer) Luckenbill.

He was also a 32nd degree Mason of the Chandler Lodge.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.. Interment will be held in Alsace Cemetery, Reading. Contributions may be made to Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation, Grand Central Station, New York, NY, 10163.
