James H. Moll, 79, of Wyomissing, passed away October 14, 2009 in his residence.
He was the husband of Mary Ann (Gantert) Moll.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late James F. and Minnie (Yiengst) Moll.
He was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School.
James was employed for 33 years as an assistant manager by Metropolitan Insurance Company, West Reading, retiring in 1987. He previously worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Pottstown from 1948 to 1960.
He was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church where he was an usher for many years.
James also was Commissioner of the C.Y.O Basketball League 1970 and 1971. He was a member of the V.F.W. of Ephrata, and P.O.S. of A. He served as Judge of Elections for the 18th Ward of Reading.
He was an U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, James J., husband of Suzanne M. Moll, Exeter Township and Patricia C., wife of Robert M. Ford, Lititz and four grandchildren, James P. Moll, Kaitlyn M. Moll, Robert J. Ford and Jessica R. Ford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St Margaret's R.C. Church, 925 Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Contributions may be made to St. Margaret's R.C.
