James G. Mcnear

James G. McNear, Sr., 52, passed away August 1, 2013 in his West Reading residence.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of Shirley (Greene), wife of Robert P. Warmkessel, Reading and the late Willis J. McNear.

He was a graduate of Wyomissing High School.

Jim was a boilermaker for 3B Services, Inc. for 13 years

Those who knew Jim are aware he was an avid bicyclist and a member of the Berks County Mustang Car Club. He was near completion to becoming a Freemason. Jim was most happiest spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons: Corey J., husband of Theresa McNear and their two children Madison and Carter, Naperville, IL, and James G. McNear, Jr., West Reading. Also surviving is his wife Shannon McNear, West Reading and step-daughter: Hope Fisher., Madrid, Spain. Also surviving are his sisters: Cindy McNear, Reading; Christine Bender, Mohrsville; his step-sister, Kathy Warmkessel, Reading and his step-brothers: Kevin Warmkessel, Womelsdorf and Keith Warmkessel, Blandon.

Jim was predeceased by his step-brother, Robert Warmkessel Jr.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sinking Spring Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
