James Donald Mcnabb

James Donald McNabb, 57, died July 27, 2014, in Altoona Hospital.

He was born in Allentown, on August 16, 1956. He was the son of the late Donald F. McNabb and Nancy J. (Haberman) McNabb, Wyomissing.

He was a graduate from Wilson High School in 1974.

He was employed in the family business, Berks Lehigh Glass Co. in Reading and then became part owner of the former Penn Allen Glass Co. in Allentown.

He resided in Altoona, and worked for Laurel Foods and was a volunteer for Central Pennsylvania Humane Society. Within the last few months he was employed by "On Time Delivery" in Altoona, last working Friday, July 25.

Jim was an avid golfer and still spent some of his free time visiting the animals at the shelter where he had worked.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy and her companion, Jim; his brother, Thomas McNabb and his wife, Kelly, Blandon; his sister, Jane McNabb Page, wife of Eric Page, Wilmington, DE. He was predeceased by his sister, Carol Ann McNabb on March 21, 2013.

His nieces, Britney McNabb Bowman, Gretchen Brower Smith, and nephews, Atty. Christopher Page, Nicholas Page, and Dr. Cory McNabb; his Aunt Ann; several cousins and his step-mother, Dottie McNabb, Lakeland, FL also survive him. Jim will be missed by his cat Abby.

Memorial Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
