James Francis Long

James Francis Long, 70, Cumru Township, died December 29, 2014, in Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy, PA. He was the husband of Patricia (Mundell) Long, whom he married November 14, 1981.

Born May 30, 1944, in Morristown, NJ, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Ann C. (Neil) Long.

James was a 37-year employee of the GPU family of companies, including Jersey Central Power & Light Company, which are now part of FirstEnergy Corporation.

He was a 1962 graduate of Bayley-Ellard High School, Madison, NJ. James served in the United States Navy and was a 1994 graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: son David C., husband of Margaret (McIlvaine) Long and grandchildren Rachael & Connor Long of Morrison, CO; son Timothy M., husband of Jenny (Hinkle) Long and grandchildren Eva, Alexander & Cora Long of Aliso Viejo, CA; daughter Rebekah L. (Long) Bucelli and grandchild Bryce Bucelli of Douglassville; son Richard A., husband of Colleen (Rickenbach) Schulze and grandchildren Alan & Rebecca Schulze of Douglassville; daughter Janet (Schulze), wife of Dale Keener and grandchildren Cameron & Christian Keener of Hamburg; son Michael Schulze, companion of Mary Sonder of Boyertown; and daughter Nancy E. (Schulze), wife of Timothy Graver and grandchildren Sarah & Theodore Graver of Boyertown.

Also surviving are brothers Edward T., husband of Anne (Campbell) Long and Robert W., husband of Ruth (Musson) Long, all of Morris Plains, NJ.
