James W. Krause, 75, of Wernersville, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, in the care of ManorCare, West Reading. He was the loving husband of Ann P. (Tucci) Krause for 26 years.
Born in Pottstown to the late George and Anna (May) Krause, Jim was the youngest of seven children.
Jim was an excellent chef. He met his wife while employed as a culinary chef at St. Joseph's Hospital. He retired in 2020 from Café Sweet Street. A teddy bear of a man, Jim loved time spent with the family he and Ann shared. A connoisseur of chocolate, Jim was well known for always bringing the best dessert to family dinners.
A kind and gentle man, Jim had a soft spot for animals of all kinds, but especially for dogs.
In addition to his loving wife, Jim's memory will be treasured by his step daughters, Kathy Heller of Wernersville and Barbara (Larry) Lipsky of Eldersburg, MD, and their grandchildren, Emily Heller (fiancée of Chase Davis), Jack Heller, Christopher Heller, Sam Lipsky (fiancé of Allison Williams), and Maddy Lipsky. He is also survived by his siblings: Bill, Robert, George "Mickey," and Donald "Louie;" and many much loved nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his brothers Paul "Jazz" and David and his sister, Helen Heck.
