James F. Kelly

James F. Kelly, Sr., 90, of Wyomissing and Venice, FL, died September, 17, 2012, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Marion L. (DeMuth) Kelly. His first wife, Anne E. (Engelhardt) Kelly, died January 23, 1998.

James was a graduate of West Reading High School in 1940 and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, Long Island, in 1942.

He was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving in WWII and a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean conflict.

James was an executive for Sealy Mattress Company, Reading.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, James F. , husband of Donna Kelly, Shillington and Carol Anne Kelly, Washington, DC; five step-children, Marion Petruskevich, Mt. Carmel, Ava Fernsler, Harrisburg, Patrick Garramone, White Haven, PA, Sharon Zoumas, Lebanon and Christopher Garramone, Tobyhanna, PA and six step-grandchildren also survive him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 8th & Franklin St., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
