James A. Hartranft

James A. Hartranft, 71, of Sinking Spring, died February 12, 2010 in Spruce Manor.

Born July 25, 1938 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Rodger and Margaret (Laubach) Hartranft.

James was a self employed carpenter for over 45 years.

He was a member of the Marion Township Rod and Gun Club.

James is survived by his first wife, Sharon (Chattin) Hartranft and their two daughters: Carol, wife of Robin Daub, Robesonia and Sherri, wife of Robert Bowers, Sinking Spring. Also surviving are four brothers: Rodger, Wilson, Jack, and Martin and one sister, Martha. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive him.

He was predeceased by his brother, Blane.

Memorial Services will be held April 17, 2010 at 11 a.m. in Bethany Children's Home, Womelsdorf. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Edward J.
