James M. Hain

James M. Hain, 94, of Millmont, Reading, died January 16, 2011 in the Mifflin Center.

Jim was predeceased by his former wife, Neeltje W. Hain.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Frank M. and Lena (Missbach) Hain.

He was a 1932 graduate of Wilson High School.

James was a butcher for Milmont Meat Market until his retirement in 1980. Previously he worked for Bob White Frosted Foods and King Cup Candies in West Reading.

James was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII.

He is survived by his three children: James H. W. Hain, East Falmouth, MA; Lysbeth W. Clark, New Providence and May W., wife of Robert Gaynor, Strasburg. There are two grandchildren: Neeltje and Pietjan and three great-grandchildren: Dekklan, Lia and Lachlan surviving him.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy and Isabel.

Burial will be in Epler's Cemetery, Leesport. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
