James H. Gruber, 74, of Reading, died April 6, 2011 in Mifflin Center.
He was the husband of Rosann (Lynch) Gruber. They were married on August 31, 1962.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late James M. and Helen J. (Grimes) Gruber.
James was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean conflict.
He was a graduate of Stevens Technology School, Lancaster.
James was employed for 36 years as a maintenance mechanic for Polymer Corporation, retiring in 1997.
He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Reading.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ann L. Gruber-Baldini, wife of J. Randall Baldini, Laurel, MD and Amy L. Gruber, Owings Mills, MD.; two sisters, Helen, wife of Anthony Dugan, Kenhorst and Rosemary, wife of Leon Crupi, Wyomissing and two grandchildren, Evan Baldini and Adara Baldini.
Service will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
