James Anthony Graziano, 77, of Womelsdorf, passed away on February 9, 2025, at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Sandra J. (Gillmore) Graziano.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late James Francis and Marie Emily (Petrini) Graziano. James lived around the world with his family through his father's military service. He graduated from the Taipei American School in Taiwan, where he met Sandra, his future wife. He was a proud member of the Dukes Club. James served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he worked as a mechanic on planes. He and Sandra spent many devoted years working as Houseparent's for Bethany Children's Home providing compassion, direction and guidance for youth in a home-like setting.
James was a car enthusiast; he carried his mechanical expertise from working on planes in the military to cars in civilian life. He had a deep love for the ocean and spent many years on his boat and deep-sea fishing. James was also a gifted storyteller and enjoyed playing cards & poker.
In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by his daughter, Annette L. (Graziano) Ruth, wife of Chad M. Ruth of Wernersville, and three grandchildren: Caitlin, Aidan, and Evan. He was predeceased by his brother, John Charles Graziano.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 1:30 to 3 p.m., with a brief service to begin at 3 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. Family & friends are invited to attend a gathering at a local restaurant following.
Burial with military honors at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lebanon VA Hospital.
