James G. Sauppee

James "Jim" G. Sauppee Sr., 82, West Lawn, passed away January 7, 2012 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Jim was the husband of Marie E. (Wagner) Sauppee.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late J. Robert and Magdalene (Cady) Sauppee.

Jim was self-employed as a painter paper hanger for over 30 years, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James G. Jr, husband of Michelle Sauppee, Wernersville; a daughter, Lisa M. Maus, Virginia Beach, VA; three brothers: J. Robert, widower of Madeline Sauppee, Reading; Gerald L., widower of Sharon Sauppee, Midvale Manor; and R. Joseph, Spring Twp. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Jessica M. Maus.

James was predeceased by a sister, Patricia A. Ray.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
