James Kenneth Dengler, 63, of Tilden Township, July 15, 2009 in St. Joseph Medical Center.
He was the husband of Sharon Marie (Koch) Dengler, whom he married August 1, 1992.
Born in Pottstown, PA on January 18, 1946, he was a son of the late Clyde K. and Bernetta E. (Moyer) Dengler.
He was an Air Force Veteran.
James was employed 18 years as a powder coat mixer with Morton International, Reading, last working October 3, 2008.
He is also survived by four children: Shirley M. Durbec of Ruscombmanor Township; Shelley M. (Lessig), wife of Tony M. White, Sr., of Ontelaunee Township; Cheryl L. (Lessig), wife of George J. Breedy, Jr., of Cumru Township and Thurman K. Lessig III, at home.
Other survivors include two siblings: Carolyn L. (Dengler), wife of Dennis G. Rickert of Jacksonville, Florida and Joanne E. Dengler of Shillington; two nieces: Robin R. Buckner and Denise D. Ewing both of Florida and one great nephew, David A. Ewing and one great niece, Katherine D. Ewing.
There are also three grandchildren: Tony M. White, Jr., Tabitha M. Durbec and Ashley N. Serrano and was "Pappy Jim" to two great grandchildren: Mya T. White and Michael A. White.
Services will be held Monday at 1:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale with the Rev. Dr. Brett Reider officiating. A viewing will be held from noon until time of services. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
