James Albert Abraham, D.D.S., 80, of Spring Township, died June 6, 2011 in the Emergency Room at the Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Joyce Louise (Katzenmoyer) Abraham, whom he married August 25, 1956.
Born in Brooklyn, New York in June 23, 1930, he was a son of the late David and Margaret (Auman) Abraham.
James proudly served for four years during the Korean Conflict with the United States Navy.
He was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School; 1956 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and a 1959 graduate of Temple Dental School.
James operated his dental practice in Spring Township for 40 years, before retiring in 1999.
He was a member of the Berkshire Country Club, Bern Township.
James is also survived by three children: Lynn A., wife of James A. Alexander of Chevy Chase, Maryland; Susan M., wife of Jay Gebauer of Moorestown, New Jersey and Dr. David J. Abraham of Spring Township.
Other survivors include a sister, Jane (Abraham) Kerper of Spring Township and nine grandchildren: Kristyn Gebauer, Katelyn Gebauer, J.D. Alexander, James Gebauer, Michael Alexander, Susan Alexander, Nicole Abraham, James Abraham and Carlie Abraham.
Services will be held Thursday at 5:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, with Military Honors to follow. A viewing will be held Thursday from 3:30 pm until the time of service.
