James W. Carbaugh

James W. Carbaugh, "Big Jim Carbaugh", 67 formerly of Port Clinton was taken by God to glory, Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in his Leesburg, Fla. Home. He was born in Hamburg, PA and moved to Leesburg, Fla. In 1995 He was preceded in death by his parents Robye and Helen (Kubilius) Carbaugh of Port Clinton and by his sister, Betty Gleason of Hamburg, PA. He will be remembered by his wife, Renee (Arredondo) Carbaugh, Leesburg, Fla., children, James Long, Texas, Deah Carley, Wyoming, Chris and Rebecca Arredondo, Fla, sisters, Mary Ann Faber, Del.and Cecelia Stump Carbaugh, Leesburg, Fla., nine nieces and nephews. Jim was an original thinker, outdoorsman, Vietnam Navy veteran serving on the SS Lexington, Shangri-La and Roosevelt. He was a biker, electronic technician, electrician, Boy Scout, Assistant leader of Troop 117 and a truck driver. He was a graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School. His greatest enjoyment, next to long conversations with God, was riding and as always pool time with Becca and Chris. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 30, 2010 from the Bridge Church 3561 Old 22, Hamburg PA. Military Honors will be conducted by Ray Master Post 217 of Topton, PA. in St. Johns Cemetery immediately following the memorial service.
