James C. Rowe

James C. Rowe, 75, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away October, 24, 2022, at ProMedica, formerly ManorCare, Laureldale.

He was the loving husband of Sandra J. (Snyder) Rowe.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late William and Florence (Becker) Rowe.

He was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

James worked as a supervisor for various companies including Prestolite Corporation, Exide, and General Battery, before retiring from Hoffman Industries in 2007.

For many years, James enjoyed being the financial secretary at Central Beneficial Association, Laureldale.

He was an avid bowler with a 200 + average. James had a contagious smile that lit up the room along with a great sense of humor that helped him and Sandy deal with everyday life. He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lynelle, wife of Leon Rushing, Henderson, NV; two grandchildren, Megan, wife of Richard Weidenhammer, Reading and Ryan Rushing, Henderson, NV; one great-grandson, Logan Weidenhammer; one sister-in-law, Linda Rowe; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two siblings, William Rowe, Jr. and Marie Ritchie.

A Celebration of Life Services will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Central Fire Company in Laureldale from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to come and share a fond memory of Jim. He was a die-hard Phillies and Eagles fan so we ask you to please dress accordingly. In lieu of flowers, contributions in James's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
