James P. Bradbury, 91, of Laureldale, died November 3, 2010 in St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center.
He was the widower of Elise L. (Roth) Bradbury.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Ralph T. and Julia M. (Neidig) Bradbury.
James was a graduate of Reading High School.
He was employed as a commercial artist by the Ted Black Advertising Agency for over 30 years.
James enjoyed golfing, painting, gardening and was a fan of the Phillies and Eagles.
He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park.
James was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII.
He is survived by his three daughters: Barbara Ann Bradbury, Laurel, MD; Patricia E., wife of Scot D. Hoeksema, Jamestown, KY and Marian B., wife of Michael S. Magee, Greer, SC. Also surviving is his sister, Jane M. Bradbury, Reading. Five grandchildren: Elizabeth A. Mantsch, Columbia, SC; Stephen J. Magee, Greenville, SC; Katherine M. Hoeksema, Columbus, OH; Alison L. Hoeksema, Lexington, KY and Kelly R. Hoeksema, Lextington, KY also survive him.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Joanne M. Cipar and his siblings, John T. Bradbury and Grace Bradbury.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park. A viewing will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association: 25 Stevens Ave., West Lawn, PA 19609.
