James Adam Jakubek, 81, of Spring Township, passed away December 2, 2017, in St. Joseph Hospital.
He was the husband of Jeannette M. Jakubek having celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
James worked as the Chief Financial Officer of St. Joseph Medical Center and the Alaskan Health System as well as other hospitals.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman having been a member of the Bull Run Hunting Camp. Jake enjoyed celebrating the holidays by passing along his family's baking skills and his father's pastry recipes. He was a devoted family man being survived by his daughters Barbara J. and Catherine and sons Robert, husband of Barbara A. and David. Other survivors include his sister Nancy of Joliet Illinois, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with another on the way.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Ignatius Church at the above address or Horizon House of Illinois, 2000 Plank Rd., Peru, IL 61354.
