Jacqueline A Heimbach

Jacqueline "Jackie" Ann Heimbach, 92, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 in the care of Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover, PA. She was the widow of Warren W. Heimbach, who passed away in February of 1974.

Born in Stamford, CT, to the late James J. and Pearl N. (Reigner) Donahue, Jackie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated caregiver. A graduate of Shillington High School class of 1949, she graduated from Pottstown Hospital School of Nursing in 1952 with top honors in her class.

She worked as a nurse to support her husband, who was also a graduate of Shillington High School, while he continued his education. Upon his graduation, she dedicated herself to raising their three children and was a wonderful mother.

Warren and Jackie traveled extensively across the country and overseas with their children. After the sudden, unexpected passing of her husband, Jackie returned to healthcare. She was a hardworking and dedicated nurse for over 40 years. She previously worked at Manchester Hospital of Manchester, CT, Beverly Hospital of Beverly, MA, and retired from Community General Hospital of Reading, PA.

Following retirement, she volunteered at American Red Cross blood drives and Berks County Heritage Center functions. She treasured spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow. She also enjoyed attending lectures and live music events. She took great pride tending to her colorful flowers and garden.

Left to treasure her memory are her children: Karen, Karl (Rebecca) and Kelly (Michael). She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; Kody, Kolby, Ozzy, Matthew, Kevin, Katherine, Carson, Emi, and Addison. In addition to her husband, Warren, and her parents, she was predeceased by her brother James (Peggy) Donahue.
