Jack R. Witman

Jack R. Witman, 81, passed away November 7, 2016 in his Reading residence.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. Witman, who died November 19, 2012.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Irvin A. and Sara (Erisman)Witman.

Jack was a 1954 graduate of Reading High School

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving for eight years and during the Korean Conflict.

Jack was involved in the Boy Scouts of America for 50 years and last postion held was Scout Master for Troop 12. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 0878, Oley, PA.

He loved his family, enjoyed family vacations to the beach.

Jack is survived by his children, Scott R. Witman, Reading, and David W., husband of Anetta Witman, Oley; Michelle E. Bucks, Kenhorst. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Lauren, Ashley, Leah, Zachary, Shaye, Christian, Sarah, Benjamin, and Levi, and 4 great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Isabella, Carter and Malachi.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at 12 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, with burial to follow at Laureldale Cemetery.
