Jack C. Moyer

Jack C. Moyer, 78, of West Reading, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021. He was the loving husband of Elaine (Bruda) Moyer, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Clifford and Helen (Ciabatoni) Moyer. Jack graduated from West Reading High School in 1961 and completed his undergraduate studies at Albright. He completed his Masters Degree at Colorado State. He taught English at Western Michigan University before he and Elaine settled back in West Reading, where he taught English and Math for the Berks County Intermediate Unit until his retirement. He was accomplished at basketball, golf, and bowling, and enjoyed word games such as Scrabble, Boggle, and crossword puzzles. Among the many things he enjoyed with his family were trips to shore.

In addition to his wife, Elaine, Jack is survived by his children: Christopher Moyer of Davenport, IA; Stephen Moyer of Los Angeles, CA; and Tasha (Moyer) Beatty, wife of Cullen, of San Diego, CA; his granddaughter, Willa Ann Moyer; his brother, Thomas Moyer, husband of Barbara; and his sister, Pamela Buynovsky, widow of Steve Buynovsky.
