Jack R. Eisenhower

Jack R. Eisenhower Sr., 76, of 2900 Lawn Terrace, St. Joseph Living Center, Muhlenberg Township, died September 10th at 5:34 p.m. in Reading Hospital & Medical Center where he had been since Thursday.

Formerly of 513 Floret Ave., Riverview Park, he was married September 16, 1950 to June A. (Mountz) Eisenhower.

Born in Reading, Pa he was the son of the late Mary Emma Eisenhower.

He was a 1945 graduate of Shillington High School and attended Albright College for two years.

Eisenhower was employed as a manager for 30 years at the former Food Fair / Pantry Pride of Reading, working there until the closing of the store in 1979.

He later worked as a custodian for the Muhlenberg School District for 9 1/2 years retiring in 1989.

Eisenhower was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include two sons; Jack R. Jr. of Sacramento, California and Jeffrey P. husband of Bonnie B. (Bickel) of Fleetwood.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 341 West Neversink Road, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4201 Stoudts Ferry Bridge Road, Reading, Pa 19605. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
