Jack E. Bond

Jack E. Bond, 74 of Marion Twp., Berks County, died November 18 at 10:40 a.m. in Reading Hospital where he had been since November 7.

He was the husband of Jean S. (Stephens) Bond.

Born in Chardon, Ohio he was the son of the late Floyd and Margaret (Frost) Bond.

Bond was an Electronics Engineer for 30 years employed by Lucent Technologies, Muhlenberg Twp., retiring in 1989.

He was a graduate of the University of Florida from their Engineering College in 1959.

Bond was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Reading.

Bond is also survived by one son, David E., Richland, Berks County, and one daughter, Judy L. (Bond) Lenninger, Muhlenberg Twp. There is also one brother Clyde Bond, Salisbury, NC and one sister Gloria (Bond) Van Dixon, Westerville, Ohio. Also surviving are two grandsons.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church, 5th and Chestnut Streets, Reading. Graveside Services will be private in Memorial Park, St. Petersburg, FL. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 498 Bellevue Ave. Reading, PA 19605. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
