J. Michael Morrissey

J. Michael Morrissey, Sr., 71, of Wernersville, passed away October 21, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the loving husband of Kathleen A. (Lucchese) Morrissey.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Dr. E. James Sr., and Flora Elizabeth (Johnson) Morrissey.

He was a graduate of Mercersburg Academy and Dickenson College and School of Law.

J. Michael was employed as a Lawyer until his retirement.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, J. Michael, Jr., husband of Kristin Morrissey, Reading; his daughter, Julie A., wife of Thomas Seiders, Reading; his step-son, Joseph A., husband of Taniya Goshert, CA, and his step-daughter, Amy Achey, Richland. There are two brothers surviving: Dr. E. James, Jr., husband of Nancy Morrissey, Wyomissing and J. David, husband of Kay Morrissey, SC. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Nicholas, Matthew, Taylor and Riley as well as five step-grandchildren: Ryan, Matthew, Alexander, Amanda and Rachel.
