J. Robert Huck, 86, died April 14 at 8:15 a.m. in his residence on South Seventh Avenue, West Reading.
He was the husband of Pauline M. (Haas) Huck.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Bernard and Alice (Rundle) Huck.
Huck was employed for 34 years as an accountant by AT&T Reading Works, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in November 1986.
He was a 1935 graduate of St. Peter's High School, Reading, and a 1949 graduate of LaSalle University, Philadelphia, with a bachelor's degree in business. He received his master's degree in economics from Lehigh University, Bethlehem.
Huck was a former member of the alumni board of directors at LaSalle.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Huck was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
He is also survived by four sons: Peter R., Blue Bell, Montgomery County; Christopher J., Reading; Thomas R., Phoenix; and Joseph R. Jr., Raleigh, N.C.
Other survivors include three daughters: Suzanne M. (Huck) Neubauer, Marlboro, Mass.; Barbara L. (Huck) Quirin, Houston; and Mary Jo H. (Huck) Wummer, Denver, Lancaster County.
Also surviving are a brother, Edward S., Broomall, Delaware County; and two sisters, Ann (Huck) Koenig, Reading, and Jane (Huck) Schaefer, Temple.
There are also 18 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Lebanon County. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
