Irvin Dexter Schrope

Irvin D. Schrope, 86, died April 28, 2012 in St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center.

His wife, Annamarie (Janke) Schrope, died January 30, 2011.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ruth (Rothenberger) Schrope.

Irvin was employed as a shipping supervisor for Brush Wellman Engineered Materials, retiring in 1988.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in World War II.

Irvin was a member of the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelly A. Medaglia, Mooresville, NC.

Services will be Thursday at 12 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
