Irene M. Zukowski

Irene M. (Golembeski) Zukowski, 78, of 12 Old Shartlesville Road, Bernville, Pa 19506, died April 22nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Tilden Township, where she had been since March 31st.

She was the wife of Charles W. Zukowski of the Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Scranton, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary A. (Molenda) Golembeski.

She was a 1942 graduate of Moosic High School.

Zukowski was a member of St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church, Cumru Township.

She is also survived by two sons, Charles E. of Exeter Township and Edward T. of Bernville.

Other survivors include a sister, Rosemarie A. (Golembeski) Adams of West Hartford, CT., one grandson, Erik Zukowski and two grandaughters, Becky M. Wenger and Jessica E. Messinger.

A Requiem High Mass will be celebrated Friday 10:00 am in St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church, Cumru Township. Viewing will be Friday 8:30 - 9:30 am with a wake service at 9:30am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
