Irene Sallie Flammer

Irene Sallie (Hoster) Flammer, 93, passed away in her son, Paul's Shoemakersville residence, after a long battle with Alzheimer's on Wednesday, May 6th, 2020. She was the loving wife of the late Paul W. Flammer, Sr. Sadly, Paul, Sr. passed away in 2006. Born in Ontelaunee Twp. on November 16, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Rueben and Laura (Keller) Hoster Irene worked as a machine operator at for 33 1/2 years with Dutch Knitting Mill, Hamburg and for 10 years with Wright's Knitting Mill, Hamburg until retirement in 1997. Surviving are her two children: Paul W. Flammer, Jr. and his wife, Mary Ann Flammer of Shoemakersville and Fay (Flammer) wife of the late Lee Keller and the late William Readinger; two grandchildren: Sheri L. (Flammer) Webber and her husband, Andrew and Alan Keller; four great grandchildren: Brittany Webber, Andrea (Webber) Kramer and her husband, Robert Kramer, Jr., Dakota Keller and Cody Keller and a brother: William Hoster. In addition to her parents and her husband, Irene is predeceased by her grandson, Michael A. Flammer; four brothers: Leroy, Theodore, Charles and Howard Hoster and four sisters: Dorothy (Hoster) Zerr, Edith (Hoster) Reppert, Ellen (Hoster) Engle and Laura (Hoster) Oberly.
