Irene E. Schmidt

Irene E. Schmidt, 91, formerly of Temple, died on July 3, 2008 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

Born July 21, 1916 in Reading, she was a daughter to the late Franz and Elsie I. (Faust) Boldt.

Irene served in the United States Army during World War II.

She was a member of the Disabled American Veteran's - Chapter 10.

Irene enjoyed visiting nursing homes in the area and entertaining the residents.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Irene is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Pauline Grubb and S. Helen Hilton and a brother, Francis Boldt.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
