Irene M Buzalewski

Irene M Buzalewski, 94, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph T. Buzalewski, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2010.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Lukasz and Henrietta (Golis) Zmroczek. Irene attended Central Catholic High School, graduating from Reading High GED. She retired from American Bank where she worked in data processing. Irene enjoyed listening to audio books, music and technology. In her 80's she visited Italy on her first overseas trip.

Irene is survived by four children: Elaine M. (Buzalewski) DePetris, Baltimore, MD.; Robert J., husband of Catherine (Underwood) Buzalewski, South Heidelberg Township; Thomas J., husband of Melody C. (Catlett) Buzalewski, Leland, NC; and Lisa A. (Buzalewski), wife of Steve Miriani, Chicago, IL; five grandchildren: Jennifer, Luke, Lauren, Matthew and Theodora; and two great-granddaughters.

According to Irene's wishes, services will be private, concluding with entombment in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery in Laureldale.
