Ilse L. Goodhart

Ilse L. (Proger) Goodhart, 95, formerly of Mt. Penn, passed away November 10, 2016, in Regina Nursing Center, Norristown. The family is grateful for the excellent care she received at Regina.

Her husband, Peter V. Goodhart died August 16, 2011.

Born in Chemnitz, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Franz Bernhard and Luisa (Bock) Proger.

She was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School and the McCann School of Business. Ilse worked as a secretary for the American Chain and Cable Company prior to her marriage. In 1955, Pete and Ilse spent about two years in Bogota, Columbia while he supervised an engineering project.

Ilse was a life-long member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reading.

She is survived by one nephew, Dr. Barton B., husband of Helen M. Proger, King of Prussia; one niece, Vicki Karen "Penny" (Proger), widow of Thomas Coldren, Wyomissing; one great-niece, Lisa Jenkins, Glen Mills; and one great-nephew, Craig A. Bressler, FL.; as well as several other great-nieces and great-nephews.

Ilse was predeceased by three brothers: Herbert Proger; Fritz Proger; and Karl Heinz Proger.
