Ida Ruth Leinbach

Ida Ruth (Kensil) Leinbach, 100, formerly of Raymond Street, Laureldale, died December 20, 2010 at Spruce Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was predeceased by her first husband Charles Harrington, who died in December 1960 and by her second husband, Adam S. Leinbach in June, 2007.

Born in Reading, PA on December 10, 1910, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Katie (Marberger) Kensil.

She was a 1928 graduate of Reading High School.

Ida Ruth was employed 20 years as a secretary with Reading Eagle and the Boy Scouts of America before her retirement in 1980.

She was a member of Grace (Alsace) United Church of Christ, Hyde Park.

Ida Ruth is survived by a step-daughter, Judith L. (Leinbach), wife of William D. Maitland of Pine City, New York.

Other survivors include two step-grandchildren: Andrew R. Maitland of Pine City, NY and James T. Maitland of Niles, Ohio.

There are also several nieces and nephews surviving.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 29th at noon in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Bonnie Dalious officating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
