Hunter J.R. Schlachter

Hunter J. R. Schlachter, 19 of Hamburg died July 8, 2017 in Tilden Township. He was born in West Reading and was the son of Brian J. Schlachter and Susan K. (Frankenfield) Schlachter both of Hamburg. Hunter attended Hamburg Area High School and proudly obtained his GED.    He was employed as a cashier at Love's in Shartlesville until his death. In addition to his parents, Hunter is survived by his step-mother, Mandy L. Schlachter, a half-brother; Samuel G. Kehr, Hamburg, three step-sisters; Nicole L. Marko, Shartlesville, Sierra L. Schell and Hailey Laguidara, both of Hamburg. His uncle; Michael E. Schlachter, Hamburg and an aunt; Stephanie A. Randazzo, Massachusetts and step-grandparents; David and Cheryl Schell, Windsor Castle, also survive him. Additionally his girlfriend, Destinee Fuhrmann also survives Hunter. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. from the First United Church of Christ, 76 S. Third Street, Hamburg. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
