Howard F. Rissmiller, 71, passed away April 3, 2013 surrounded by his loving family in his Sinking Spring home.

He was the husband of Bonita (Heisey) Rissmiller with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Fred and Helen (Frain) Rissmiller.

He was a 1960 graduate of Patton Masonic School for Boys, Elizabethtown, PA.

Howard spent his career in food sales working with Carnation Co., Ferolie Co. and L. Rodoff & Co, food brokers, Premium Beverage Packers, where he served as VP of sales and Cott Beverage USA which bought Premium Beverage Packers in 2002.

He was a proud 41 year member of the West Lawn United Methodist Church where he served on various committees and mission trips.

Howard served as president of the Masonic Homes/Patton School Alumni Association from 2010 to 2012. He was a past Master of Puritan Lodge #740 in 1971 (now Reading Lodge #549), and a member of Shrine. He also served on the board for Crime Alert Berks County.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his two daughters: Ann, wife of Scott Greusel, Shillington and Jill, wife of Michael Gentry, Bel Air, MD. Also surviving are his sister, Sharon, wife of Dennis Moore, Tampa, FL and his brother, Charles Rissmiller, Reading. Three grandsons: Terry Gentry, Adam Gentry and Evan Greusel also survive him.

Howard was predeceased by his sister, Joan Rutt.

The family wishes to thank the Berks Visiting Nurse Hospice for their loving care and support during this difficult time.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 13th at 11 a.m. in West Lawn United Methodist Church, 15 Woodside Ave., Reading, PA 19609. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Lawn U.M. Church at the above address. Edward J.
