Horace A. Miller

Horace A. Miller, 86 of Windsor Township died March 30, 2015 in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center. He was the husband of May (Miller) Miller to whom he would have been married to 61 years on April 2nd of this year. He was born in Centre Township on July 23, 1928 and was the son of the late Harvey G. and Florence (Obyle) Miller. Horace worked for 39 years for the former Samuel Rudolph & Son Scrap Yard in Reading. He last worked in the cattle ring at Leesport Farmer's Market and Auction and was a self- employed farmer his entire life. Horace was a member the Union Fire Company # 1 Beneficial. In addition to his wife, Horace is survived by his children, Horace Miller, Jr., Tilden Township, Anna wife of Larry Oswald, Windsor Township, Dennis L. husband of Robin Miller, Perry Township and Debra wife of Robert Noecker, Tilden Township. Nine grandchildren, Jason, Charlene, Chad, Larry, JR., Dwayne, Denise, Christen, Matthew, and Robert III and seven great-grandchildren, Rachael and Travis Noecker, McKenzie, Briar and Cheyenne Oswald, Cailyn and Maci, also survive him. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St. Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Township.
