Homer E. Witwer

Homer E. Witwer, 82, of Oak Street, Laureldale, died July 20 at 4:30 p.m. in his residence.

He was the husband of Elsie E. (Hurst) Witwer.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Walter and Ida (Epler) Witwer.

Witwer had been employed for 25 years by Metropolitan Edison Co. as a control operator in Titus Station, Cumru Township.

He was a 1938 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

Witwer was an Army veteran of World War II.

He is also survived by a daughter, Lauren K. (Witwer) Haag, Reading.

There are also two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton.
