Homer Herbert Hall, Jr., 76, of Muhlenberg Township, November 29, 2007 at 2:45 am surrounded by his family in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been a patient since November 14th.
He was the husband of Christina E. (Hill) Hall, whom he married March 29, 1969.
Herb was born May 12, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Homer H. Hall Sr., and Martha Beulah (Morris) Hall Kennedy.
He was a 1949 graduate of Barrackville High School, West Virginia and a 1968 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Metallurgy.
Herb was employed by Carpenter Technology, Reading for eight years as a grinder, retiring in 1996.
He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Adamstown VFW.
Herb is also survived by a son Randy W., husband of Robyn F. (Rossini) Hall and their son, Tyler L. Hall all of Collegeville, Montgomery County and two daughters; Renai L. Hall, life partner of Rose F. Papa of Cherry Hill, NJ and Jennifer H. (Hall), wife of Keith A Schell of Limerick, Montgomery County.
Also surviving is a brother Harry, husband of Kristie (Killian) Hall of Franklin, OH and a sister, Eleanor (Hall), widow of Kenny Merrifield of Barrackville, WV; a grandson Tyler L. Hall of Collegeville, Montgomery County and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Good Shepherd U.C.C., 100 Tuckerton Rd., Muhlenberg Township, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Stewart officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment with Military Honors will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
