Homer A. Mell

Homer A. Mell, 91, of Muhlenberg Township and formerly of Laureldale, died of natural causes March 1st at 3:50 am in Spruce Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Reading, where he had been since February 22nd.

He was the widower of Marguerite E. (Bowers) Mell, who died March 8, 2005.

Born in Reading, Pa., he was a son of the late Jacob F. and Ida N. (Adams) Mell.

He was employed a number of years in the foundry for Rockwell International, Wyomissing before retiring.

Mell was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII.

Mell is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday at 1:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Gerald Arndt officiating. Viewing one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Spies-Zion Cemetery, Alsace Township.
