Hilton H. Anderton

Hilton H. Anderton, 94, formerly of 419-1 Springside Drive East, Shillington died June 2nd at 6:24 pm, in Berks Heim Annex, Bern Township where he had been since January 22nd.

He was the widower of Dorothy E. (Dietrich) Anderton who died May 1, 1989.

Born in Beaver Falls, he was a son of the late Jonathon and Blanche (Rosini) Anderton.

He was a 1926 graduate of Reading High School and a 1932 graduate of Wharton School of Business.

Anderton worked as a purchasing agent and personnel director for 28 years at Armour and Company until 1964.

He last worked 10 years as a clerk for Carpenter Steel, Reading until his retirement in 1974.

Anderton is survived by a daughter, Phyllis L. (Anderton) Paolino of Muhlenberg Township and two sons; Roger W. of Denver, Colo., and Charles H. of Exeter Township.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Anderton is predeceased by a daughter, Joy E. (Anderton) Feiner who died July 1983.

Services will be Friday 10:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Viewing 9:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
