Hildegard I. Demarco

Hildegard I. DeMarco, 76, of Muhlenberg Township, died August 22, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of Michael R. DeMarco, whom she married on September 12, 1964.

Born in Viernheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Albert H. and Elisabeth (Riehl) Schmitt.

She worked as a beautician, owning and operating her own salon on Penn Street.

Hildegard was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to garden and cook, hosting Sunday night dinners for her family each week.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her two children: Michael E., husband of Lisa DeMarco, Cumming, GA; Carla C., wife of Kenneth Reimert, Fleetwood and her four grandchildren: Michael, Mason, Sophia and Marlowe. A niece, Crystal Mobius, Viernheim, Germany, also survives her.

She was predeceased by a daughter in 1967.

A Viewing will be held Tuesday 6 - 8 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. A private burial will be held in Gethsemane Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
