Hilda W. Schwanzer

Hilda W. Schwanzer, 89, West Wyomissing, died Aug. 26 in Berks Heim, where she had been a resident since July 21.

Her husband, Maximilian Schwanzer, died Feb. 3, 2000.

Born in Chemnitz, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Emma (Weisfloge) Wolf.

Schwanzer was employed for 45 years as an inspector by the Berkshire Knitting Mills, Wyomissing, retiring in 1975.

She was a member of the West Lawn United Methodist Church.

Schwanzer is also survived by a daughter, Barbara (Schwanzer) Flemming, Savannah, Ga.

Other survivors include two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
