Herman J. Brobst

Herman J. Brobst, 84, died of natural causes August 26, 2006 at 4:26 pm in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

He was the husband of Anna E. (Smith) Brobst, his wife of 57 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William J. and Lizzie (Dunkel) Brobst.

He was a 1939 graduate of Hamburg High School and a 1941 graduate of McCann School of Business.

Herman was employed 18 years at Reading Mack Inc., Muhlenberg Township, retiring as an office manager in 1979.

He was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale, where he was a past member of the finance committee and consistory.

Herman is also survived by a daughter, Linda A. (Brobst) wife of James M. Moyer of Monroe, North Carolina and a son, Dale H. husband of Rene (Super) Brobst of Sinking Spring.

Other survivors include two grandchildren, Krystin R. Brobst and Ryan D. Brobst.

Services will be held Friday at 10:30 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale, with the Rev. Richard A. Lieby officiating. Viewing 9:30 am until time of services. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
