Herbert Stalworth Hintz

Herbert (Herb) Hintz, 72, of Flying Hills, passed away on November 3 at St Joseph's Medical Center. Herbert was the son of the late Andrew F. and Georgia (Amason) Hintz. He is survived by his devoted sister, Marcia Phillips, with whom he resided, cousins Andrea Stoyko, wife of James Stoyko, Cumru Township, Bonnie Ruth Amason, Richmond, Virginia, Floyd Amason, Richmond, Virginia, and Boyd Amason, Knoxville, Tennessee. There are several second cousins. Herbert graduated from Reading High School in 1967 and Penn State University in 1971 with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and currently a proud member of the Penn State Alumni Club of Berks County. Employment began with a 15 year career in real estate with Wertz, Hoffman, Parks where he was a broker-realtor associate and marketing manager. After that he was involved with sales last working for Lawson Products of Chicago retiring in 2018. Herbert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading, where he had served on the usher team. Herbert was also in involved with the Berks County Chamber of Commerce as Chairman of Ambassadors and New Executives Committee and the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors Public Relations Committee. Herbert enjoyed Penn State football, golf, reading, family genealogy, and time with friends.

A memorial service for Herbert will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 2 PM at the Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 1 PM.
