Herbert C. Ludwig, 79, of Wyomissing, died October 14, 2010 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.
He was the husband of Anne (Rauen) Ludwig, at home.
Born in Reading, PA on November 13, 1930, he was a son of the late Herbert L. and Margaret A. (Drexler) Ludwig.
Herb was employed for 50 years as a car salesman, last working for Reading Honda.
He was a graduate of Reading High School.
Herb was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Herb enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan, closely watching Penn State, the Phillies and the Eagles.
He is also survived by two children: Gregory S. Ludwig of Muhlenberg Township and Kim A. (Ludwig) Poncavage of York and three step-children: Doug Kubinak of Lower Heidelberg Township; Lois Kubinak of Whitfield and Robin (Kubinak) Driskill of Raleigh, NC.
Other survivors include two siblings: Donald C. Ludwig of Spring Township and Margaret A. (Ludwig) Ganas of Hyde Park.
There are also three grandchildren: Scott Poncavage; Doug Poncavage and Bethany Specht and two step-grandchildren: Ian Kubinak and Haley Kubinak and one great grandson, Xavier Specht.
Herb was predeceased by two sisters, Jeanne (Ludwig) Kallmeyer and Mary Ludwig.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. A visitation will be held Monday from 8:30 - 9:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
