Herbert H. Arnold

Herbert Heinz Arnold, 85, of 1013 Kercher Avenue, Bern Township, Leesport, Pa 19533, died March 6th at 3:44 pm in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been since January 15th.

He was the husband of Jeanne Ella (Drechsel) Arnold.

Born in Saxony, Germany, he was a son of the late Wilhelm Emil and Ella Frieda (Griesbach) Arnold.

He was a 1938 graduate of Mohnton High School and a graduate of McCann's School of Business and University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.

Arnold was employed for 37 years as an accountant at Vanity Fair Corporation, Wyomissing before retiring in 1983.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII and served in the Battle of the Bulge.

Arnold was a member of the Germania-American Soccer Team.

He is also survived by a daughter, Melissa L. (Arnold) wife of Dr. Bruce K. Noll of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Other survivors include three grandchildren, Emily Noll, Daniel Noll and Kristen Noll.

Memorial services will be Saturday, March 19th at 2:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. No public viewing. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
