Henry M. "Woody" Witmyer, III, 67, of Wyomissing, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in ManorCare Laureldale.
He is survived by his wife Carol Kimberly (Woodward) Witmyer.
Born in Baltimore, MD, he is the son of Helen (Traynor) Witmyer, Baltimore, MD, and the late Henry M. Witmyer, Jr.
Henry was a 1967 graduate from Towson High School and graduated with a Business Degree from the University of Baltimore.
He was a U.S. veteran of the Marine Corps. Reserve.
Henry was the owner and operator of Conestoga Foundry Supply and Kore Mart, Ltd.
He was an Eagle Scout, and liked to hunt and farm.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who helped Woody make it through these last few years. We especially like to thank Dr. Nicole Strohl, DO; the staff at St. Joseph Medical Group at Spring Ridge; Marta Botch, Speech Pathologist; and Ruth Hinkle at Heartland Hospice.
In addition to his mother and wife, Henry is also survived by four children, Megan Kay, wife of Doug Stone, Great Meadows, NJ; Greg, husband of Teresa Witmyer, Sinking Spring;; Henry M. IV, husband of Jen Witmyer, Sinking Spring; and Jonathan, husband of Alayna Witmyer, Wyomissing. One sister, Deb Boal, and seven grandchildren: Olivia Stone, Briggs, Hunter, Sean, Henry V, Claire, and Caitlyn Witmyer also survive him.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reading Salvation Army, 301 S 5th St, Reading, PA 19602. Edward J.
