Henry Matthew "Harry" Weiss, III, 72, of Exeter Township, died February 14, 2011 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.
His wife, Gwendolyn Dawn (Hettinger) Weiss died February 26, 2000.
Born December 18, 1938, in Reading, he was a son of the late Henry Matthew, Jr. and Gertrude Elizabeth (Cody) Weiss.
Henry was a 1956 graduate of Reading High School.
He was employed as a tool and die maker with Carpenter Technology for 34 years, retiring in 1999.
Henry enjoyed fishing and watching movies.
He was also an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles and Sixers.
Surviving are three children: Kathy A. Weiss-Slemmer, wife of Leonard J. Slemmer, Jr. of Maidencreek Township; Heather M. (Weiss), wife of John J. Gapinski of Denver, Lancaster County and Matthew J., husband of Tracy L. (Campbell) Weiss of Exeter Township.
Other survivors sisters, Patricia A. Weiss and Geri M. (Weiss) Seaman, both of Womelsdorf; his twin brother, James P. Weiss of Hyde Park and a brother, Thomas A. Weiss of Exeter Township.
In addition, there are five grandchildren surviving: Kendal Gapinski, Hannah Gapinski, Jacob Weiss, Zoe Gapinski and Brian Weiss.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., with a visitation one hour prior to services. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
