Henry Wanner

Henry Jacob Wanner Jr. passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 77. He was the husband of Claudia (Wilkes) Wanner, who preceded him in death in 2014.

Born in Reading, PA, he was the only son of Henry J. Wanner, Sr. and Dorothy (Wade) Wanner and a graduate of West Reading High School. Henry spent most of his career at Carpenter Technologies, where he proudly worked as a steel worker. He was known for his hardworking nature and the warmth he brought to those around him, who affectionately called him "Uncle Hank".

His family meant the world to him. Henry is survived by daughters: Tracy Rubendall (Bruce) of Douglasville, Heather Wanner Bard of Wyomissing, and Tami Bowman (Tim) of Birdsboro; and son, Chad Mohn; grandchildren: CJ and Nick Nairn, Samantha Bowman, Caroline Bard, and Jasmine Mohn; and sisters, Jane Trate and Joan Donaldson. They will forever cherish the memories of fishing trips, boating adventures, and countless beach getaways to Rehoboth. He was a big fan of the Eagles and loved to watch them play. Whether he was riding his motorcycle down winding roads or relaxing with his cherished dog, Abigail, Henry embraced life to the fullest, always eager to share his joys with family and friends.

Henry was predeceased by his wife, Claudia, and four sisters: Pat, Nancy, Mary and Melva.

The Wanner family will hold a memorial service to celebrate Henry's life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to a local animal shelter in Henry's name, honoring his deep love for his dog Abigail and all furry friends.

Henry will be missed but never forgotten. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
