Henry Paul Scott, 66, of Reading, died October 14, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph's Medical Center where he had been a patient for one week.
Born in Reading, on January 22, 1941, he was a son to the late Henry T. and Marjorie (Weaks) Scott.
Henry was a graduate of Inter-Lakes High School, Meredith, NH, in 1958. He went on to receive a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, graduating in 1973.
Henry was employed by Firestone as a chemist and also sold insurance, retiring in 1991.
He served in the Navy during the VietNam war. He was in the submarine unit and was commissioned to the U.S.S. Nathan Hale.
Surviving is a son, Jeffrey C. Scott, Shillington and a daughter, Marjorie M. Scott, Reading.
He is also survived by a brother, James Scott, Center Harbor, NH and a sister, Elsie (Scott) Hall, Downingtown.
There are three grandchildren, Julianna, Christopher and Ethan.
There will be no services. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
