Henry S. Dolinski

Henry S. Dolinski, 91 of Cumru Township, passed away peacefully Sunday January 22, 2017, in the Berks Heim Nursing Home where he had been a resident for three years.

He was the loving husband of Dolores (Kazmierczak) Dolinski, to whom he was married for 68 years. Born in Reading, he was a son of Anthony and Theodora (Zychowicz) Dolinski.

Henry was a graduate of Reading Senior High School and the West Chester State Teachers College. He was a U.S. Army veteran and faithfully served in the South Pacific during WWII. He worked as a shipping and warehouse supervisor for the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Pottstown, PA before retiring.

He was a member of Saint Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church in Mount Penn.

Henry loved sports as a youth and played many rounds of golf later in his life. He had an exceptional love for card games and spent many hours playing in the American Contract Bridge League obtaining the title of Life Master. A true gentleman and kind soul, he was always accommodating, caring and helpful.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children: Marie Comfort and his three sons Michael, James and Mark and one sister, Bernice Leibold.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11am. in the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery with full military honors and interment to follow.
